Delaware boundaries collection, 1733-1953.

Throughout the colonial period, the boundary between Delaware and Maryland was in dispute. Finally, in 1769, the question was settled, after surveys by Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon. The issue was reopened in the middle of the 19th century, resulting in the resurvey by Col. J.D. Graham in 1849-1850. Another controversy grew from this which was not settled until 1921.
